The piano piece I am choosing is from the movie "Howl's Moving Castle." The name of the piece is 'The Merry Go Round of Life,' and in the movie originally it also has a violin and cello, but for this purpose, I found a video that was piano only. "Howl's Moving Castle" is a Studio Ghibli movie so the animation is really fun to watch and it has a wonderful plot and soundtrack. A short summary of the movie is that a young girl, Sophie is cursed into an old woman, so she flees and runs into a wizard's moving castle and makes a deal with a fire spirit there to undo her curse if she makes him free of the wizard's ownership. Honestly, I just love this movie because Sophie is such a relatable character and everything is so aesthetically pleasing. For me, the original piece means a lot because it includes all the instruments I play so it is fun to listen and hear how they mix. I've played the piece on the violin but I have yet to play it on the piano or cello, hopefully in the future I will though!
